Projector Remote & Mime Map

Full Misery Town Stay secret — from sandy dig to downstairs confirmation.

Last updated:

This page answers “Endacopia projector remote”, “Misery Town metal detector”, “cinema map mime room”, and related Stay searches. It is Secret 1 of 3 for Stay (Ending C). Pair it with the checklist on Stay Secrets and the save-safe route on Ending C.

Play on patch 1.08+ — Misery Town inventory softlocks and boss-skip exits were patched there (Patch Notes · Troubleshooting).

Prerequisites

  1. Own the Metal Detector from the Timesville / Beartha chain
  2. Prefer unlocking Escape and Return on other saves first (Stay will not finalize without them)
  3. On the Stay file, plan to fight optional bosses — no Cut The Act / Case Closed / Short Circuit skips
  4. Switch to windowed mode before sandy-floor scans

Step 1 — Correct Tent

Go to Misery Town and enter the projector / movie tent near the entrance — the room that plays colored clown films used earlier for Whack-a-Mole clues.

Do not confuse this with the Trapezist boss arena. Entering the wrong tent wastes time and risks combat you did not intend mid-secret.

Step 2 — Dig the Projector Remote

  1. Equip the Metal Detector
  2. Sweep the sandy floor inside the projector tent
  3. Dig when the detector reacts
  4. Obtain the Projector Remote

If nothing registers, toggle windowed mode and slow the sweep — fullscreen false negatives are a common Stay failure.

Step 3 — Project and Capture the Map

  1. Use the remote on the projector / screen
  2. A route map appears
  3. Screenshot it (geometry matters more than a text sketch)

You will follow this layout in the mime area. Treating the map as decoration is the #1 reason the hidden stair never appears.

Step 4 — Mime / Checkerboard Path

  1. Travel to the mime / black-and-white checkerboard room (the same space where Hands were recovered earlier in the Circus arc)
  2. Trace the exact route shown on the projection — do not brute-force every wall
  3. At the destination, squeeze through the narrow crack
  4. Follow the hallway until the screen washes white
  5. On return: a halo appears around Mellow and a new staircase spawns

Step 5 — Downstairs Minigames (Mandatory)

  1. Take the new stairs down
  2. Complete every minigame / machine / cabinet in the secret area
  3. Do not leave after the first success — the secret arms only after the full downstairs sequence and its unsettling visitor beat
  4. When control returns to the normal hub with confirmation signals (halo / visitor resolution), Misery Town’s Stay objective is done

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Is the projector tent the Trapezist tent? A: No. Use the movie / clown-film projector tent near the Misery Town entrance, not the boss arena.

Q: Can I dig the remote before Escape and Return? A: Yes, but Stay only finalizes after A+B and all three secrets on one dedicated run.

Q: Do I need the map after the mime path? A: The projected geometry is for the mime crack. Screenshot it before you leave the tent.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to common questions about Endacopia.

Where is the Endacopia projector remote?

Dig it with the Metal Detector on the sandy floor of Misery Town's projector / movie tent, then use it on the screen to reveal the mime-room map.

What do I do after the cinema map appears?

Screenshot the map, follow it in the mime / checkerboard room, squeeze the crack, and finish every downstairs minigame.

Why won't the Misery Town Stay secret complete?

Usually the wrong tent, fullscreen detector failure, skipped mime path, or leaving downstairs before all minigames finish.
