Endacopia on Steam Deck

Unknown on the store page, playable via Proton for many owners — with a mouse-first control warning.

Last updated:

Steam lists Endacopia’s Steam Deck compatibility as Unknown. AndyLand designed the game for keyboard and mouse: right-click action cycling, inventory, and first-person block / counter combat. Handheld play is a community overlay, not an official Verified experience.

The trailer above is the intended mouse-cursor presentation. Specs for the Windows build live on System Requirements. Keep the game on patch 1.08+ so Deck-side frustration is not a known PC softlock (Patch Notes).

What Works in Practice

Community reports (demo and post-launch) cluster around:

  • The game launches via Proton on many Decks — treat that as playable, not polished. ProtonDB has mixed notes; some owners prefer a plain Wine prefix if a Proton build fails
  • Stay sand scans and Fish Paper Key warps need windowed display — same as PC (Troubleshooting · Projector Remote)
  • Trackpads can substitute for a mouse; gyro helps fine cursor work in combat
  • On-screen keyboard is painful for typed codes (Cheshire, 471, Yellow, Help Me Talk) — see Passwords & Codes
  • Steam Cloud from 1.04 can sync a Deck save with a PC if both are on the same account (Save System)

Steam Input is the right tool. A layout that usually feels less miserable:

  1. Right trackpad — mouse move
  2. R2 — left click (interact / punch)
  3. L2 or a face button — right click (cycle actions — this is easy to forget and hard to play without)
  4. A / B — confirm / cancel menus
  5. Start — inventory / pause (match whatever the PC build uses; see Controls)
  6. D-pad or left pad click — spare for Esc / close nested menus during the plunger toilet timing

Combat against Clocky, Trapezist, Chameleon, AI, and Henry needs click timing. If counters feel impossible, finish those fights on a PC with a mouse and continue the save via Cloud.

Puzzle & Mini-Game Friction

ActivityDeck note
Doors.exeFine with a cursor
Fridge / vent stealthCursor + click spam on cabinets — awkward but doable
Office Phone CallsTimed clicks; use a mouse if you miss windows
Timesville FishingClock cycling is exploration, not twitch
Soccer Footwork MasterPrecision clicking — PC is kinder (Mini-Games)
Dice / Gambling DenUpdate to 1.06+ for crash fixes regardless of device

Volume stuck at 0: F9 reset on 1.07+ needs a keyboard overlay or a bound key.

macOS, Linux, and the Deck

The full Steam page is Windows-only. The itch.io demo still lists macOS. Linux / Deck is Proton, not a native port. Do not expect AndyLand to support handheld quirks while he is on the post-1.08 family break — bugs still go to [email protected] with video.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Is Endacopia Steam Deck Verified? A: No. The store shows Unknown as of August 2026.

Q: Can I 100% the game on Deck? A: Possible if you accept trackpad combat and a keyboard for codes. Many players 100% on PC and only explore on Deck.

Q: Does Cloud save work Deck ↔ PC? A: Yes in principle from patch 1.04, for the single slot. Back up before the Saw Box anyway.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to common questions about Endacopia.

Does Endacopia run on Steam Deck?

Often yes via Proton, but Steam still marks compatibility Unknown. It is a mouse game first.

Is there official controller support?

No. Use Steam Input to fake a mouse and a right-click action-cycle button.

Should I play combat on Deck?

You can, with trackpad or gyro. Boss counters are easier with a real mouse — Cloud-sync if you have a PC.
