Roger, Mellow & the Family Tree

Endacopia buries its identity plot under edutainment visuals and puzzle chains. This page gathers every named figure and explains how they relate — who Roger actually is, who the toilet entity is, who Henry captured, and how Stay (Ending C) reframes the entire cast. The Mellow / Roger Question

Endacopia never uses the name Roger in the Prologue. The blank-faced child is called Mellow throughout the demo. The name appears in two distinct places later:

1. Chapter II epilogue — You hand the Toy Saw or Real Saw to a mirror figure called Roger. He exists behind the mirror that surfaces during the saw gift.
2. Stay ending — At the Chapter III epilogue, if every Stay Secrets prerequisite is met and you return to Mellow’s Room instead of opening the door, family members address the protagonist as Roger.

Two reads of this:

• Mirror Roger is a clone or reflection, while Roger is the original identity of the playable character.
• Mirror Roger, Mellow, and the toilet parasite are three different entities. The original Roger was reduced to the silent “Mellow” after losing senses; a mirror copy handles the saw gift; the toilet parasite lives separately in the bathroom.

Is the Toilet Creature Roger?

No. The Red Creature that emerges from the toilet after the Plunger is a separate parasite in the house’s logic — community sources and TV Tropes explicitly distinguish it from the mirror Roger. The Red Creature only asks for the Cheshire password, and it pulls Mellow down the toilet at the demo’s end. In the full game, the toilet portal leads to the dismemberment room and Green Hills — a transport, not a character absorption.

Who Is Henry to the Family?

Henry is not blood-related to Roger or Mellow in any confirmed source. His roles are:

• Abductor — Knocks Mellow out at the start
• Kitchen jailer — Patrols during the fridge puzzle
• Saw Box owner — Holds Toy Saw vs Real Saw, code 471
• Ending A final boss — Uvula fight in the mouth arena (Henry Boss)

Some community readings cast Henry as Surgeon’s employer — a domestic captor who hired Freelance Surgeon to populate the house. AndyLand has not confirmed this; treat it as theory.

Freelance Surgeon and the Body Parts

Freelance Surgeon is the explicit creator of Clocky and the figure who stitched two girls into The Bride in the secret basement. Community lore extends this to “the doctor who took Mellow’s body parts” — which would explain the Chapter I body-part triangle (Circus Hands / Office Mouth / Timesville Eyes).

If the surgeon story holds, then:

• Henry hired Surgeon
• Surgeon scattered Mellow’s body
• Mellow/Roger must recover Hands, Mouth, Eyes across the three hubs

The Bride

The Bride is the stitched entity in the secret basement behind the underground lamp secret. Interacting repeatedly triggers the intentional crash ending — not a bug. The Bride is one of Endacopia’s most disturbing beats. See Secrets & Easter Eggs for the lamp route.

Where Andyland (Andy) Fits

Andyland is Andrés Guerrero — the real-world developer, not a family member. The in-game Andy is a developer cameo that appears after the main ending triangle. Talking to him triggers a dancing mini-game and unlocks The Yeti (~6.8% Steam global unlock). He is meta, not narrative.

Stay (Ending C) Reading

In Stay, family members at the Chapter III house call the protagonist Roger. The reading flips:

3. Read Saws + Roger only after first ending
4. Reload a Chapter I save, fight optional bosses, complete Stay Secrets, pick the same saw or the other — Stay triggers when you return to Mellow’s room
