The Camera is a Timesville inventory tool dug up on the second Metal Detector beach sweep after you blackmail Nibbles during Beartha’s PGD quest. It sits alongside Fish Paper and the stolen PGD in that dig trio — useful for photo interactions (including the green mug) and later photo beats such as documenting the Chameleon.
Patch 1.08 specifically restores the Camera when it stopped working on the green mug. Earlier 1.06 fixed Camera use on the pig. Keep Steam on 1.08+ before photo-heavy Timesville routes (Patch Notes).
How to Obtain the Camera
Prerequisite chain (same as Lockpick → Rat’s room):
- Finish Catthew hide-and-seek → fishing → party → Telescope
- Start Beartha PGD quest → telescope constellation on the locked beach shed
- Solve skeleton puzzle → obtain Metal Detector
- Dig Lockpick on the beach → unlock Rat’s room
- Gather hamster-wheel evidence → blackmail Nibbles
- Re-equip the Metal Detector and sweep the beach again

Green Mug Interaction (Patch 1.08)
AndyLand’s 1.08 notes call out: “Fixed a bug where the camera item stopped working when using it on the green mug.”
Practical player tips:
- Update to 1.08+
- Equip the Camera from inventory (click Mellow → select Camera)
- Target the green mug with examine / use cycles (Controls)
- If nothing happens on an older build, update Steam and reload the room
Do not confuse this mug with the Transparent Mug from the Office Gambling Den (Flower → Wrench chain). The green mug is a Camera photo target, not the watering vessel.
