Waterfall Code Door
The Timesville door by the falls — inert water in 1.07, Mellow-behind-the-rock in 1.08.
The waterfall code door is a Timesville puzzle gate. Community Stay routes mention the house beyond the waterfall as the safe you open with the Fish Paper Key after catching every fish (Timesville Fishing · Stay Secrets). This page is the door / falls themselves — the code surface, the water, and the two patches that named them.
Official Patch Lines
1.07: “Fixed a bug where the waterfall was still interactable when it shouldn’t be.”
After 1.07 the falls are not a toy you keep clicking once the door is done. If water still eats clicks on an old build, update.
1.08: “Fixed a visual bug where Mellow would be rendered behind a rock near the waterfall code door.”
If Mellow slides under the rock beside the door, you are looking at that layering bug. 1.08 is the fix. Same week as Camera / green mug and Scribbly pencil exits.
How the Door Fits the Timesville Route
- Recover Eyes from the graveyard hole
- Finish Catthew hide-and-seek → fishing license → dock
- Fish across clock periods; 18 species × slots for the achievement and Stay paper
- Work the code door at the falls when the local clues (posted digits / environmental numbers — read every sign near the water) match
- Beyond: the house / safe used for Angel’s Plea on Stay files
Bring the Telescope and Metal Detector on Stay reloads. The detector should beep if sand still hides a dig — silent detectors were a separate 1.08 bug.
What Not to Do
- Do not spam-equip the Telescope into the locked door (1.07 crash)
- Do not treat the waterfall as an infinite clickable after the door is solved (1.07)
- Do not assume a missing Mellow silhouette is a softlock — update to 1.08 and re-enter
- Do not confuse this house with the Office Core room (that room’s exit+button texture bug is also 1.08, different building)
Stay vs First Clear
You can open the door on a first Escape file and still fail Stay if Fish Paper / Angel’s Plea is incomplete. The door is geography. Stay is the checklist on Stay Secrets.
