The Cheese is a Prologue (demo) inventory item obtained from the Kitchen fridge puzzle. It serves two distinct purposes: completing the fridge sequence itself, and luring a cockroach in Mellow’s room to drop two coins for the Wall Bank.
How to Obtain
The Cheese appears as the reward for solving the Fridge Puzzle in the Kitchen. The full fridge solution requires entering a specific sequence of shapes, switches, and dice rolls — see the dedicated puzzle page for step-by-step instructions.
Once solved, the fridge opens and the Cheese is added to your inventory.
Uses
Cockroach Lure — Coin Chain
In Mellow’s Room, there is a framed creature (the Wall Bank entity) on the wall beside the computer. It has a small hole above it.
- Place the Cheese in the creature’s hole
- A cockroach will emerge and cross the room toward the cheese
- When it reaches the framed creature, step on the cockroach (click it)
- The cockroach drops 2 Coins
These coins are critical — they are the only way to obtain the Cheshire password from the Wall Bank.
Fridge Puzzle Reward
The Cheese itself is the direct reward for solving the fridge puzzle. There is no alternate location or alternative item for this chain.
