Fix mute volume, stuck rooms, missing ending achievements, and known softlocks on patch 1.08.
Players searching “Endacopia softlock”, “volume stuck at 0”, “achievement not unlocking”, or “Metal Detector not working” usually need a version check plus one of the recovery steps below. Endacopia launched July 27, 2026 and patched through 1.08 (≈ August 7). As of August 30, 2026 Steam still shows 1.08 as the latest news build — no 1.09 yet.

- Confirm Steam library shows Endacopia 1.08+
- Enable Steam Cloud (Properties → General / Steam Settings → Cloud)
- Quit the game completely before copying userdata backups
- Prefer windowed mode for Metal Detector sand scans and the Timesville Fish Paper Key warp
- If volume is silent: press F9 (1.07+) for 100%, then Shift + + / − to adjust

Escape / Return / Stay / The Yeti may fail to pop even after the scene plays.
- Update to 1.07+ (still current in 1.08)
- Load the title screen once — Steam API re-sync fires there
- For Stay misses: re-enter Mellow’s Room while the gold soccer ball ribbon is visible

Metal Detector & Windowed Mode
Fullscreen sand scans in Misery Town and Timesville often fail to register digs.
- Switch to windowed (community consensus for Stay secrets)
- Sweep slowly until the detector reacts
- For Fish Paper Key: Alt+Enter windowed, use the key on the game window, not an interior prop
