The Office & Gambling Den

The Office and adjacent Gambling Den are Chapter 1 locations reachable from Green Hills. Mellow recovers his Mouth here through button puzzles, personality surveys, and phone-call mini-games — plus optional dice gambling and a secret route required for the Stay ending.

Getting There

From Green Hills, head downhill through the stone doorway, board the train, and proceed through currency scanners.

Earning Currency

The first green scanner requires currency. Use any of three machines in the entry room:

• Hamster wheel
• Checkerboard buttons
• Hanging button

Earn enough to pass each scanner (-50, -100 tiers appear later).

Colored Switch Puzzle

Take the lower staircase outside to six colored switches. Goal: activate all simultaneously.

1. Start with only Yellow ON, all others OFF
2. Turn Yellow OFF → Dark Blue ON → Light Blue ON → Purple ON → Red ON
3. Right door opens when correct

Pedal Lift

Alternate A and D keys on the pedal machine until you reach the bottom.

Earn 150+ currency, pass scanners, ride the -100 elevator. Answer the survey to reach the Office:

Inside the Office building, click the poster labeled Achievement to instantly unlock the Steam achievement of the same name.

Gambling Den Route

After all phone tasks, request reassessment in the elevator with different answers:

This sends you to the Gambling Den.

Transparent Mug

Pick up the Transparent Mug on the floor right after exiting the elevator.

Achievement: Against All Odds

Enter the dice room and beat all three gamblers:

• Green Boss
• Baby Man
• Copy Printer

Flower → Wrench → Core Key chain

1. Fill Transparent Mug at Office water cooler → pour on plant → collect Flower
2. Trade Flower at train station for Wrench
3. Remove Office water cooler panel with Wrench → turn water on → Core Key drops

Productivity & Core Room

The Core room stays locked until productivity rises. Smash the glass wall with the Wrench, speak to every employee. In Chapter 1, help Malia with Airplane Tickets (win in Gambling Den dice game).

Stay Ending Secret — Morse Code

Required for the Stay ending. Prerequisites: Telescope from Timesville.

1. Place telescope at Office train-station entrance near the concrete bench figure
2. Read CALL US! ad → dial 277-5944 via Jobs app on Office PC
3. Morse message: “Behind the stairs 1 minute”
4. Wait ~60 seconds behind stairs near vending machine
5. Enter hidden room → interact with VR helmet → complete puzzle sequence

Switch to windowed mode if the puzzle UI is hard to read.

Achievement: Water Break

First water source: Office water cooler. Second: Rat’s room bottle in Timesville. Third source appears later.
