Doors.exe Puzzle
The first computer puzzle — turn a desktop program into a real door in Mellow's room.
Doors.exe is the first major progression puzzle in Endacopia. You run a program on the PC in Mellow’s Room and a physical door appears in the overworld. That door is the only way into the Hallway — and the Clocky fight that follows.
The official trailer above shows the house-computer tone this puzzle is built around. Stay on patch 1.08+ (Patch Notes) so later computer apps (TV, vents) do not softlock the same save.
What You Need
| Requirement | Detail |
|---|---|
| Location | Mellow’s Room |
| Object | The bedroom computer |
| Program | Doors.exe on the desktop |
| Result | A door appears in the room |
| Next fight | Clocky in the Hallway |
No inventory item is required. If the computer will not boot, plug it in first — the cable / outlet interaction is easy to miss on a first look.
Step-by-Step
- Explore Mellow’s Room until you can interact with the computer
- If the screen stays dark, find the power cable / plug and connect the PC
- Open the desktop and locate Doors.exe
- Run Doors.exe — do not confuse it with later apps (TV channels, other .exe toys)
- Leave the computer view — a new door now exists in the overworld
- Enter the door to reach the Hallway
- Defeat Clocky using the block / counter combat from Controls and Combat
The hallway then splits toward the locked later door and the Bathroom plunger route.
Why This Puzzle Exists
Doors.exe teaches Endacopia’s core joke: software changes the house. The same computer later runs TV channels, the Jobs app (Stay Morse), and other toys. Treat every desktop icon as a possible overworld change — not flavour text.
It also gates the Prologue: without the hallway you cannot reach the Plunger, Wall Bank ending password usage, or the rest of the house.
After Doors.exe
Recommended order once the door is open:
- Clocky combat — first stamina fight
- Bathroom for the plunger (optional until you are ready for the demo-style toilet scene)
- Vent & Kitchen Route — chair 3×, vent, Henry stealth
- Fridge Puzzle → cheese → Kitchen & Coins → password Cheshire

Common Mistakes
- Unplugged PC — clicking the monitor does nothing until power is connected
- Closing the program too fast — run Doors.exe completely, then look around the room
- Walking past the new door — it can blend into the edutainment wallpaper; mouse over walls
- Rushing Clocky — learn block timing before later bosses (Optional Bosses)
