Optional Bosses
Fight or spare Trapezist, Chameleon, and AI — every skip, combat tip, and Stay warning in one place.
Endacopia’s three optional bosses each grant a fight achievement and an avoid achievement. The pairs are mutually exclusive on a single save, so 100% needs at least two boss-routing runs. A dedicated Stay (Ending C) attempt should fight all three — skipping any boss on that file can block the secret ending.
Keep Steam on patch 1.08+ (Patch Notes). Softlocks around Trapezist tent entry, Chameleon combat, and core-room pauses were fixed across 1.01–1.03.
Quick Reference
| Boss | Fight | Avoid | Where |
|---|---|---|---|

Deep character pages: Trapezist · Chameleon · AI. Chapter context: Chapter II.
Trapezist — Fatal Performance / Cut The Act
Reach the platform
- Clear the crowd in front of the main trapeze tent (microphone booth: tell the crowd to leave)
- Complete the circus act QTEs: trapeze line → blue ball → hoop → trampoline (Space at peak) → unicycle → cannon
- Land beside the Trapezist
Fight — Fatal Performance
- Talk to her and start the battle
- She kicks balls into left / middle / right lanes
- Punch balls as they pass in front of you (not only block)
- Standard stamina rules: M2 block, M1 counter (Controls)
Avoid — Cut The Act
As soon as you land beside her, equip the Scalpel (from Circus Whack-a-Mole → Medical Tent chain) and cut the rope / wire on the left. Do not start the fight dialogue.
Stay warning: Fight Trapezist on your Stay run — Cut The Act belongs on a separate 100% avoid run.
Chameleon — No Strings Attached / Case Closed
Before the den
Read the Chameleon’s name on a Timesville graveyard headstone. It is usually Ozzie, sometimes Ollie — re-check every playthrough.
Avoid — Case Closed (five answers)
| Step | Prompt | Answer |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Who are you | Ask who he is |
| 2 | Name | Type the grave name (Ozzie / Ollie) |
| 3 | His film | It was impactful |
| 4 | What about | His story (not the victims) |
| 5 | Theme | Irony |
All five correct → he leaves → Case Closed.
Fight — No Strings Attached
Refuse the peaceful answers / choose combat:
- Block when a puppet arm bends
- Punch the side (arm or head) that leans forward
- Patch 1.03 fixed fight softlocks; 1.04–1.05 cleaned chase music and VHS edge cases
Stay warning: Fight Chameleon on Stay runs.
AI — System Override / Short Circuit
Encountered in the Office Core after the colored-button open sequence (slowest → fastest: Green → Yellow → Black → Red on the relevant Chapter III / late Office revisit).
Prepare the avoid item
- Fill a transparent mug / cup with water from the Office cooler
- Keep the filled cup in inventory before opening the Core
Avoid — Short Circuit
Answer the Core questions: Green O → Green O → Red X, then immediately pour the water on the outlet in the front-left corner. Some players report a crash after the pour — relaunch; progress and the achievement should stick.
Fight — System Override
Any other dialogue path, then fight in the middle of the room:
- Punch round flesh circles before they become eyes
- Punch rib cages as they appear
- Stamina may be higher or lower depending on prior boss fights
Stay warning: Fight AI on Stay runs. Short Circuit is the rarest avoid (~10% at launch).
Recommended Routing for 100%
- Run A (story + fights): Toy Saw → Escape, fight all three bosses, side content (Achievements)
- Run B (avoids + Return): Real Saw → Return, Cut The Act + Case Closed + Short Circuit
- Run C (Stay): Chapter I reload → fight all bosses + three Stay Secrets → Chapter III return to Mellow’s room
Henry’s Ending A fight is mandatory on Escape — separate guide: Henry Boss.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can I get fight and avoid for the same boss in one run? A: No. Each pair needs a second playthrough (or a pre-boss reload).
Q: Do optional bosses appear in the demo? A: No — full game only.
Q: Which boss should I avoid first? A: On a dedicated avoid run, do Trapezist (Scalpel rope) first while the Scalpel is still in inventory logic, then Chameleon quiz, then AI water skip.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to common questions about Endacopia.
Must I fight bosses for Stay?
Yes — community Stay routes require fighting Trapezist, Chameleon, and AI on that dedicated run.
Where do I get the Scalpel for Cut The Act?
Circus Whack-a-Mole (after gray-tent films) then Medical Tent — see The Circus guide.
What water sources matter for Short Circuit?
Fill the transparent mug at the Office cooler before the Core. Water Break achievement uses three drink sources separately.
