Nibbles

Nibbles (sometimes spelled Nibble in achievement text) is a rat NPC in Timesville who lives in the apartment building’s Rat’s room. He sits at the center of Beartha’s stolen PGD quest: break into his condo with the Lockpick, gather photographs and hidden evidence, then confront him with the Blackmail dialogue option so he admits where the device was buried.

Nibbles is not a boss and never joins combat. He is still worth a dedicated page because three separate wiki systems route through his room — Water Break (Achievements), the Camera / Fish Paper / PGD beach dig order, and the optional Transparent Mug upstairs brawl.

Where to Find Nibbles

After the first Metal Detector beach dig gives the Lockpick, unlock the Rat’s room on the apartment second floor — middle door on the right.

Inside you can:

• Drink the water bottle for Water Break progress (second of three sources)
• Spin the hamster wheel until a secret panel opens
• Examine hidden evidence and Beartha’s photographs

Leave the room and talk to Nibbles elsewhere in Timesville. Choose Blackmail when the parser offers it. He confesses the PGD was buried on the far western edge of the beach — enabling the second metal-detector sweep for Camera, Fish Paper, and the returned device.

Blackmail — Step by Step

1. Complete the shack skeleton puzzle and earn the Metal Detector (Beartha quest)
2. Dig once on the beach → Lockpick
3. Enter Rat’s room → drink water (optional but recommended for achievements)
4. Spin hamster wheel → examine secret stash + Beartha photos
5. Exit and find Nibbles in the hub
6. Select Blackmail — not generic “crime” small talk
7. Return to the beach for the second detector pass

If Blackmail never appears, re-examine every photo and evidence panel. Community guides report the option failing when players skip the hamster-wheel stash.

Water Break Achievement

Water Break requires drinking from three sources across the game:

Optional — Transparent Mug Brawl

If Mellow still carries the Transparent Mug from The Office Gambling Den, the party room on the apartment second floor (far-right door after Catthew’s invitation chain) can trigger an optional brawl mini-game. Unrelated to blackmail completion but commonly done on the same Timesville visit.
